SurroundZone is a plug-in for SADiE Series 5 or Nuendo (and soon other platforms) that decodes and processes the discrete 4-channel B-Format output from SoundField's MKV, ST250, and SPS422B sorround microphone systems. This lets you create any multichannel delivery format necessary. SurroundZone takes advantage of SoundField's vertical component, and it can deliver 3-D playback imaging. This plug-in performs the functions of the MKV preamp-processor or SP451 Surround Sound Processor, SoundField's hardware units, so you don't have to tie them up during post-production mixing. It is also not necessary to interface them to the DAW. All you have to do is load the B-Format stems into a multichannel track of SADiE or Nuendo, and assign the plug-in to that track. You will then have Mono, Stereo, 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 output capabilities, assignable and automated.
